Biography
Sean completed his degree in Exercise
Science at Griffith University (1998) and then a Master of Physiotherapy at
Griffith University (2001). He is currently undertaking his PhD at Griffith
University investigating the swing kinematics of elite golfers and the
relationship to common golf injuries. It is envisaged that this research will reveal
factors which may assist in the prevention of golf injuries, and the improvement
in
swing mechanics from a physical perspective.
Sean has worked as a
physiotherapist in a variety of settings including private practice, for various
sporting teams (including the British Olympic Team and the Australian Baseball
Academy), and as a sessional lecturer for the School of Physiotherapy and
Exercise Science, Griffith University. Sean has also consulted for the ALPG at
the ANZ Ladies Masters; and the
Australian PGA at various events such as the Queensland PGA at Emerald Lakes and trainee education sessions.
His career has taken him across the globe
to the United Kingdom, where he worked in a busy private clinic working with
numerous amateur and professional golfers. Sean has been actively involved in
Golf for the past 15 years as a player and physiotherapist. Sean's
qualifications give him a broad range of skills which enable him to assist
golfers of all levels.
Sean has up to date, evidenced based
experience in: Biomechanical Analysis of the Golf Swing, Injury Prevention and
Injury Rehabilitation for Golfers and Strength and Conditioning for Golfers.
